With the COVID pandemic imposing travel restrictions in all countries, most conferences in 2020 were either cancelled or happened on the web.
For their 2020 China Developer Summit, Google chose the second option. During three days, talks, workshops and open Q&A sessions took place virtually and were attended by thousands of people.
I was responsible for creating the whole visual language for the event, working closely (but remotely) with local teams in Beijing, but also leading workshops with both internal and external creative teams, introducing the guidelines to local agencies and holding bi-weekly creative reviews with all our partners.
